Loads of Love

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Today I am sharing a card I created yesterday for  Day 1 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.

I combined two different "laundry" stamp sets to create my card.  I used the retired Pure Innocence - Loads Of Love stamp set from MFT Stamps and the Loads of Fun stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  Even though the washing machine is actually a little too large for the girl, I still the final scene turned out cute.

The stamped images were coloured with Copic markers, while the walls and floors were coloured with Distress Inks.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence-Loads of Love and Make Yourself At Home,  Lawn Fawn - Loads of Fun
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black, Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs,  Distress Oxide Ink - Fossilized Amber
Copic Markers: Skin - E11, E33, V15, R20  Hair - E21, E25, E27  Dress - BG11, BG13, BG32  Apron - C00, C1  Shoes - C5, C7, C9  Basket - R02, R05, R08  Washing Machine - C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, B000  Sign - C00, C1, E23, E25, E27

I Bee-Lieve In You - MFTWSC367

Welcome back my friends.  I hope you are having a good weekend so far.

Today I am here to share with you a card that I created for the current sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

For the card I created I combined the new Meant To Bee stamp set and the older Mini Hexagon Background stamp both from MFT Stamps.

I used the background stamp by first cutting a 2 inch strip of white card stock which I covered with a powder tool, to remove any static.  I stamped the Mini Hexagon Background stamp with Versamark ink onto the strip of card stock and used Detail Snow embossing powder, which I melted, to create the pattern.  I then used the Fossilized Amber Oxide Distress ink to do some emboss resist and bring out the hexagon pattern.

Here are a couple of pictures of my finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Meant To Bee and Mini Hexagon Background
Dies: Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles,  MFT Stamps - Slanted Sentiment Strips
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Back and Versamark,  Distress Oxide - Fossilized Amber,  Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass
Copic Markers: Bee Hive - E21, E23, E27, Y21, Y23, TR23, YR24  Bees - Y23, YR23, YR24, W00, B000
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock, 65lb Golden Yellow card stock and Detail Snow Embossing Powder,  MFT Stamps - Mini Cloud Edges Stencil,  Foam Tape,  Spectrum Noir - Sparkling Clear Brush Marker,  Ranger - Glossy Accents

Simple Valentine Cards - Cards From the Heart Card Drive

Hello my friends, I just wanted to stop by really quickly and share with you 12 simple Valentine's Day cards that I made for the 2018 Cards From The Heart Card Drive, which I discovered watching Christy Gets Crafty YouTube Channel.

Winter Sims of Winter Wonderland Crafter, collects Valentine's Day cards for children that are in the hospital and this will be the first time I am participating.  Please check out Winter's blog for the full set of rules/requirements for the cards you may wish to send. A few of the most important are listed below.

Cards need to be a Valentine theme ONLY!

Cards can't have anything about 'Get Well Soon', 'Feel Better', or anything reminding them of being sick. (Only Valentine Cards)

Please make cards that can be used for any gender or age.

NO buttons, glitter, glitter pens, glitter glue, stickles, wink of stella, sequins, rhinestones, brads, googly eyes, or anything that looks glittery or can be pulled off and become a choking hazard. This is the hospitals rules! I know that some of the products that look glittery may seem harmless, but the hospital said NO glitter, so that's what we will do!

The cards must be received by Winter by January 31, 2018 and are to be mailed to the following address:

Winter Sims
"Cards From the Heart Card Drive"
P.O. Box 754
Warren, TX 77664

I created my cards using some cut aparts that were in the K&Company - Ka-Zoo 12 x 12 paper pad.  They originally looked like this,
so I cut them down to remove the (to and from) from the cards.  I then framed them with card stock and popped them up with foam tape to add a little bit of dimension to the finished cards.  I also used patterned paper from the same paper pad and some coordinating card stock, with Glossy Accents being my only other addition to the cards. I made a total of twelve cards which I will being mailing to Winter. If I manage to create some more I will send them along in a separate package.

Here are all twelve finished cards.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post and I hope you have a wonderful day!  Kathy

Ewe Have My Heart - MFTWSC366

Helo and happy Sunday!  I finally made a card this year using a different stamp set.  I decided to make a card for the current sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges and used the Birdie Brown - Ewe Are The Best stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I started by cutting out three little squares of white card stock with the Stitched Square Stax.  I stamped a different sheep image on the three squares and then coloured them with Copic markers.  Those squares were popped onto the card front with foam tape after adding a thin banner with a sentiment from the same stamp set.

Here is the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps - MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Ewe Are The Best
Dies: MFT Stamps - Stitched Square Stax and Blueprints 27
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copic Markers: W00, W1, W3, W5, W9, R21, R24, R27, R39, G82, BG11
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock,  MFT Stamps - 100lb Wild Cherry card stock,  Foam Tape

S'more Friends Like You - Lawn Fawnatics #20

Welcome to the first weekend of 2018.  I have been having fun creating cards using the Sweet Friends stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I'm just loving these cute little images.

I created this card for the current "Fun With Foods" challenge at Lawn Fanatics.

For the background for my card, I used some Distress Oxide inks which I smooshed onto a nonstick craft sheet, sprayed with some water and then I pounced the card stock into.  I love the bright and funs colours as well as the slight chalkboard look on the oxide inks.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Sweet Friends
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Sweet Friends,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 20 & 27
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Oxide - Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet
Copic Markers: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, R20
Other: Recollections - 110lb White and Pink card stock,  Nuvo Crystal Drops - Morning Dew and Violet Galaxy, Foam Tape
