Let's Party

Hello friends and happy Sunday! It's a gorgeous day here in South Surrey, BC today. I did some gardening but after that I decided I wanted to make a card.

I was inspired by a card that Amy from Prairie Paper & Ink made a couple of days ago, using Polychromos coloured pencils on kraft paper. I would love to buy the Polychromos but in the mean time I used my Crayola coloured pencils and I think they did a pretty good job.

I started by stamping 5 of the cows from MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-The Whole Herd stamp set on recollections kraft card stock with Versafine - Onyx Black ink. After I finished colouring the cows, I decided I wanted to add something else so I stamped the pile of hay and coloured it as well.  I then cute out all the coloured images using my Brothers' ScanNCut.

I cut a white card stock panel using the largest die from the Blueprints 13 die-namics. I also cut out a couple of scraps of white card stock with a couple of the Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders. I used the cloud scraps as a template and sponged on Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on the top half of the white panel to make a cloudy sky.

I used MFT Stamps - Rolling Hills die to cut out some green card stock for the grass and kraft card stock for the fence. Once I glue the fence and grass together I used the same die from Blueprints 13 to add the stitching on the border and then glued it onto the white cloudy panel.

Once the background panel was complete I stamped the sentiment, and then glued on the cows and hay and backed the panel with kraft panel to give it a border.

I think the finished card turned out pretty cute.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-The Whole Herd
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 & Rolling Hills
Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass
Crayola: Cow - Black, White, Peach, Bubble Gum, Brown  Hay - Golden Yellow, Yellow Orange, Tan, Brown
Other: Recollections - Card Stock,  Sakura - Black Gel Pen

Thank you so much for dropping by. Have a great day, Kathy

Thank You

Hello again, I had so much fun colouring the pineapple panel on my last card I wanted to make a card where the whole background was pineapples.

Again I used the Polynesian Paradise stamp set from MFT Stamps and just a handful of Copic markers and I think the card turned out great!

I first cut out a panel using the largest die in the Blueprints 13 die-namics. Then I stamped all the pineapples using MFT Stamps' - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and then coloured all of the pineapples with Copic markers.

I used a bright goldenrod coloured card stock and cut out a panel a quarter of an inch wide and longer in order to frame the main panel and glued them together.

I also cut out a banner from the golden card stock using a die from the Blueprints 20 die-namics and then stamped out the sentiment with Versafine - Onyx Black Ink. On a separate piece of paper I stamped out one more pineapple, coloured it and fussy cut it out. I then glued the banner to the pineapple panel.

I mounted the main panel onto a standard A2 card base with foam tape for dimension and then also popped up the single pineapple with more foam tape on the banner.

Here is the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Polynesian Paradise
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 & 20
Inks: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copics:Y02, YR23, YR24, YG23, YG67

Hello Sunshine - MFTWSC286

Good morning and Happy Saturday!  I hope you're having a good day so far.

I decided to colour up the hula girl image from the MFT Stamps' Polynesian Paradise stamps. I have been trying to practice using different colour combinations of Copic markers for skin. I wanted to make the girl have tanned skin so I used E11, E33, V15 and I'm happy with how it turned out.

For my card layout, I used the current sketch from MFT Card Challenges.

I decided to use the pineapple image from the same stamp set to make patterned paper to go behind the main image.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Polynesian Paradise
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black

Hello friends, I hope your having a good day.

I made one more card using the Neat and Tangled - Better Together stamp set. I tried to chose colours for the background that would make the coloured image pop. I originally chose a different colour on the bottom but did not blend it very well, so I started again.

Here is the card I ended up with.

Little Hello

Hello friends, it's the beginning of the last week of school for kids around here and soon the cul-de-sac will be full of little ones.

I have been a bad girl lately and buying way too many goodies but their are so many great products coming out all the time, it's hard to resist.

I was lucky enough to finally get my hands on the Neat and Tangled - Better Together stamp set and I knew I wanted to make a card using it.

I was very much inspired by a card that Laura Bassen made for the March 2016 release at Neat and Tangled Blog. She does such awesome ink blending on her cards I thought I would give it a try and keep the blending very soft.

Here is my finished card.

Magical

Hello again, I can't believe it's Sunday evening already. The weekends go so fast.

I had a chance today to make a card using the second unicorn that I coloured the other day. I also stamped the castle from the Magical Friends stamp set and coloured it to match the unicorn.

I made a similar background to yesterday's card but I only used pink and purple so keep the colour palette very small. I think any young girl would love to receive this card.

This second picture shows the Wink of Stella that I added to the unicorn and castle.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Magical Friends
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders

Wishing You Rainbows

Hello friends, I hope you are doing well.  It was a busy day today, running to Costco, doing laundry and vacuuming, so much fun.

I coloured a couple of the unicorns from the Magical Unicorns set from MFT Stamps last night and had a chance to use one of them on a card this afternoon.

The idea for the colours behind the cloud I got from Amy Rysavy of Prairie Paper & Ink.  I did mine slightly differently by sticking to one colour per cloud layer. Starting at the bottom, my first layer was Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac and then back to Tumbled Glass distress ink.

I also made a rainbow using MFT Stamps - Stitched Rainbow die, water-colour paper and distress inks. After all the different rainbow layers were inked, I sprayed then with the Distress Sprayer and then dabbed off some of the ink with a paper towel. I then topped off the rainbow with the Wink of Stella - Clear Brush Marker.

I think the card turned out great and want to make a few more.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Magical Unicorns
Dies: MFT Stamps - Stitched Rainbow,  Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders,  Mama Elephant - Peek A Frame

We Blend Well Together

Hello friends, I hope you are having a good weekend so far.

I had a chance to make a card using another new Lawn Fawn stamp set. This time I used the So Smooth stamp set and the Simon Says Stamp masking paper for the masking on this card. I must say I love the masking paper, it's so much better then using just a post it.

I must say there are so many images in the stamp set and I barely starched the surface.

I drew my own line at the top of the contents of the blender with a 0.3 Copic multiliner and the finishing touch to the blender and my card was to fill in the "glass" with glossy accents. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - So Smooth
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black
