Happy Birthday

Hello friends, I hope your having a good day. It's so lovely and sunny here today, I actually broke out a pair of capris.

I was totally inspired by a card made recently by Laura Bassen made for Simon Says Stamp Blog. I coloured up the cute little "Melody" from Melody's Easter stamp set and I'm pretty happy with how she came out especially her hair. Hair is always my challenge.

I kept the card pretty simple and added shadow under the girl and bunny and added a sentiment.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Fairy Terrarium

Hello friends, on the weekend I watched Sandy Allnock's video showing the "secret weapon" for colouring glass and I thought I would give it a try.

Here is a link to her video:Sandy Allnock - Secret weapon for colouring amazing glass.

I decided I wanted to make a card version of a Mason Jar - Fairy Garden (Terrarium) and the glass technique shown in the attached video.

Here is the jar before I added the white paint.

and here is the jar after the paint was added. I admit that like Sandy said it was hard to paint over my colouring but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I would love if Lawn Fawn came out with another stamp set with accessories for the chicks and more translation phrases, maybe something to do with Christmas and or Halloween.

Happy Easter

Hello friends, I hope you doing well.

I couldn't do any crafting the last couple of days because my dog Bailey had to have an operation on his right cruciate ligament (back knee). He is doing remarkably well and is able to put some weight on this leg already. Yeah!

Now that's he's feeling a bit better I didn't mind so much going upstairs and doing a bit of card making.

Before his operation I had coloured a few images from the Lawn Fawn - Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp set and made my version of the "Bunny Egg" that Elena Roussakis showed on her blog Just Me.

I used a couple of MFT Stamps dies to make a panel and then popped the whole thing up on foam tape to add some dimension to my card.

Below is  a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Chirpy Chirp Chirp, Booyah (Whiskers),  Baked With Love (Eyes & Heart Nose)

Hello friends, hope your having a good weekend so far. I received a small happy mail yesterday and in it was the Rooting For You dies for the stamp set I had already purchased but had not used yet.

I broke them out today and made a very simple card. I have an idea for another card but not quite sure it will come together like I picture in my head.

Fawned of You

Hello friends, I hope you had a good day today.  We had some crazy weather today, it started with crazy winds last night/early this morning and losing power for a little while, then rain and wind, a bit of hail and then actually quite nice late in the afternoon.

I did get a chance to make a card for a cute little scene that I made using the cute Neat and Tangled - Lumberjack Love stamp set. It took me a day or so to finish colouring the scene with copic markers and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Here are a few pictures of the colouring progress.

I used the All Night Media - Woodgrain stamp to make the background paper and I did a little bit of white embossing for the sentiment.

Bugs & Kisses - Lawnscaping Challenge #125

Hello friends, hope your all doing well today.

I was totally inspired by the challenge at the Lawnscaping Challenge #125 Color Splash. The challenge is to make a black and white card with a splash of colour.

When I first started thinking of ideas for a card, I knew I wanted to use the Say Cheese die to make a black and white scene with a pop of colour. I have never made anything like this before and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I coloured almost everything with Cool Gray Copics with the bug and heart coloured brightly.

I used couple of different Lawn Fawn stamp sets to make my cute little scene.

Here are a couple of pictures of my card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Gleeful Gardens and Bugs & Kisses
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Say Cheese, Gleeful Gardens and Bugs & Kisses,  Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles

Laundry Room

Hello friends, I hope your doing well. Today I make a mini shaker/washing machine to make a card today.  I used the super cute Loads of Fun stamp set from Lawn Fawn and made my version of a laundry room. A sentiment on the front of the card would have been squished, so I left the card without a sentiment.

I fussy cut out all the images after I coloured them with Copic markers and edged them with Tuxedo Black Memento Dual End Marker.

Here is a picture of just the shaker washing machine before I added it to the card.

I used patterned paper in order to try to make the "room" look like it had wooden flooring and wallpaper walls. I think it turned out cute.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Loads of Fun
Dies: Lifestyle Crafts - Nesting Circles,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink

Lucky Banner - Curtain Call March 1

Hello friends, I hope you're doing well.  Today I made a little banner instead of card using the "Inspiration Photo" from Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.

I made this banner to add to the front of a candle holder/lantern that sits on my front porch. I also added some crystal gems and shamrocks and the bottom of the holder to go more with the St. Patrick's Day theme.

Here is just the banner,

and this is how it looks on my porch:
