The World - MFTWSC343

Hello my friends and welcome to a new week.

Today I have a card to share with you that I created using the current sketch from MFT Card Challenges.

I used a combination of new and old products from MFT Stamps to create my "Space" themed card.  I used the Starry Circle die and the largest die in the Stitched Circle Stax to create the star background and frame for the astronaut, which comes from the Space Explorer stamp set.  The strip on the right side was created using the retired Star Border die-namics and some blue card stock and the sentiment banner was created using a die from the Blueprints 20 die-namics.  I finished the card by adding a few tiny star sequins that I had in my stash.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Space Explorer
Dies: MFT Stamps - Starry Circle, Stitched Circle Stax, Blueprints 20 and Star Border
Inks: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Memento - Paris Dusk,  Distress Inks - Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Faded Jeans
Copic Markers: Skin - E11, E33, R20  Hair - E23, E25, E29  Suit - C00, C1, C3, G21, G24, G99
Other: Recollections 110lb White card stock and 65lb Blue card stock,  Spectrum Noir - 110lb Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock,  Sakura - White Gel pen,  Ranger - Glossy Accents,  Foam Tape,  Tiny Silver Star Sequins

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by.  I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

You Are My Sunshine

Hello my friends and welcome back.

Today I have another two cards to share, that I created using the July 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.

For the first card, I stamped a couple of "metal" containers and some lavender flowers with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink, coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out using the matching dies in the kit.

I cut a panel of white card stock with the largest die from the Blueprints 13 die-namics from MFT Stamps and matted it with some purple yardstick.  I popped up the two containers with foam tape with the single flower sprig glued directly to the panel.  I added a sentiment from the kit and finished off the card by adding some pale purple and clear sequins.

For my second card, I stamped the "wooden" bucket and lander bouquet with Distress Inks and used some additional distress ink and a water brush to colour the images.  I also cut those two images with the matching dies in the kit.  I used an x-acto knife to cut a slit in the top of the bucket, where I could insert the bouquet and glue together.  I cut another panel of white card stock using the Blueprints 13 die-namics and matted it with the same purple card stock from the previous card.  I popped up the stamped images with foam tape, added it to the centre of the white panel then added the sentiment above and below.  For the finishing touch, I added some soft purple and pale green sequins.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - July 2017 My Monthly Hero
Dies: Hero Arts - July 2017 My Monthly Hero,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine -Onyx Black,  Distress Inks - Gathered Twigs, Antique Linen and Dusty Concord

Spring Florals

Hello my friends and welcome back.

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you that I created using the July 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.

For the first card, I stamped the bucket, masked it off and then inked up the lavender stamp with a couple of different colours of Tombow dual brush pens. Stamped the image a couple of times and then used a water brush to spread and softer the colours.  I then added one of the sentiments to the paper and then cut it out using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles dies.  I cut a piece of purple card stock to mat the cut panel and then popped the panel up with foam tape on a standard A2 card base.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

For the second card, I stamped a few of the images with Simon Says Stamp intense black ink and coloured the flowers with Copic markers.  The boot I ended up paper piecing using a piece of design paper which I added some shadow and interest by adding some Copic marker.  I then cut out the images using the co-ordinating dies from the kit.

I cut a piece of white card stock with the largest die from the Blueprints 13 die-namics from MFT Stamps and stamped the sentiment and then glued the single flower to that panel.  I glued together the bouquet of flowers with the boot and then popped it up on the panel with foam tape to add some dimension.

Here are a couple of pictures of that card as well.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

I stamped a couple of water splashes and coloured them with Copic markers and then added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to dd some gloss and dimension.  I also coloured the Flamingo and girl image with Copic markers and popped it up on the waves with some foam tape.  I added a two toned sentiment and then backed the panel with some aqua card stock to highlight the water.

You Are My Sunshine

Welcome my friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Today I created another beach scene card, this time using the absolutely adorable Beach Day stamp set from Neat and Tangled.

I decided to put the cute little Elephant into a one piece bathing suit.  I used cool gray Copic markers to colour the skin of the Elephant and the E40 range of Copic markers to colour the skin and horn of the Rhino.

I again used the Beach Scene Builder dies-namics from MFT Stamps to create the sand and sea from some white card stock.  I inked up the sand portion with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs distress inks, which I also sprayed with water and blotted up the excess to create some texture.

The sea portion was inked up lightly with Tumbled Glass distress ink and then I pounced some Mermaid Lagoon distress ink over a Stencil from Hero Arts that I received in their May 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit.

I also used the Tumbled Glass distress ink to ink up the clouds in the sky, using some card stock masks I created using the Puffy Cloud Borders dies from Lawn Fawn.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Neat and Tangled - Beach Day

Lovely Day - MFTWSC341

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.

Today was the first time in ages where it was quite cool and overcast this morning and I though I might actually need to wear a sweater.  The clouds have now burned off and it is gloriously warm and sunny again.

I was inspired by this week's sketch from the MFT Card Challenges, to break out the Fresh Squeezed stamp set and make a card.

For the little girl image, I paper pieced her dress and coloured the rest of her with Copic markers.  The background was created by using a piece of design paper that was edged on the top and bottom with one of the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges dies.  I created the square frame by cutting some white card stock with two different sizes of the Stitched Square Stax dies and then popped up the frame onto pink card stock with foam tape.

I finished off the card by adding a sentiment, some Glossy Accents to the glass of lemonade and some Pink Lemonade Sequins.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence-Fresh Squeezed
Dies: MFT Stamps - Stitched Square Stax and Stitched Scallop Basic Edges

At The Beach

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a wonderful week so far.

I have a card to share with you that features lots of products from MFT Stamps.

I first made the beach background by cutting white card stock with the Beach Scene Builder dies.  I coloured the sand, water and cloudy sky with distress inks.  The palm tree was cut from coloured card stock, with the same die set, and then edged with distress inks to add some detail to the tree.

The girl on the beach is from the Pure Innocence - Beach Day stamp set and the mermaid and her rock are from the Birdie Brown - Mermazing stamp set.  I glued the mermaid directly onto the card front and popped up the beach girl with foam tape to add a bit more dimension to the finished card.  It was hard to get a good picture to show that I also added some glossy accents to the swim ring to add some more fun to the card.

Here are a couple of pictures of the card, which I m loving.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence - Beach Day and Birdie Brown - Mermazing

Hello my friends, I can't believe we're at the end of the first week of July already.  We have been have gorgeous weather here lately, so it's just a little harder to get into the crafting mode.

I did manage to make a card today for the current sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

Very Apeeling

Hello my friends and welcome back.

Today I am sharing one more card that I created using the Love Ya' Bunches collaboration stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn and Ellen Hutson.  I am really loving this set.

With this card I am showing the "boy" monkey likes the "girl" monkey so much, he is willing to share his banana.  ðŸ˜Š

I cut a panel of white card stock with the largest die in the Blueprints 13 die-namics and then cut a circle in that panel using one of the dies from the Stitched Circle Stax, both from MFT Stamps.

On the actual card base, I inked on some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide and sprayed it with a bit of water and blotted up the excess, to add a bit of texture.

I then created the little monkey scene and glued all of the pieces together onto the front cut out panel and then popped up the whole panel with foam tape.  For the finishing touch I added a few sequins from the Pink Lemonade sequin mix from Neat and Tangled.

Swing By Soon

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Today I have another card to share using the Love Ya' Bunches stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn and Ellen Hutson.

I was inspired by a card that Kay Miller made for the release of this collaboration.

I created the background by using Cracked Pistachio and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink pads that I smushed onto a Ranger craft sheet and sprayed with water.  I then dipped the card stock panel several times into the ink, drying in between layers.

I popped the background panel and all of the stamped and coloured images on foam tape to add some extra dimension to the finished card.
