Elf

Hello friends and welcome back.  Today I have another card to share with you, that I created using the Nice Elves stamp set from Hero Arts.

When I saw these particular elves, I thought it would be so cute to colour them like the characters from the Elf movie.  They all also inspired me to combine them with the sentiment, which I believes comes from that movie, from the Alpine Carolers stamp set from Mama Elephant.  Even though the elves aren't actually singing, I still thought the card turned out quite cute.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - Nice Elves,  Mama Elephant - Alpine Carolers
Dies: Hero Arts - Nice Elves,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 & 20
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass
Copic Markers: Skin - E11, E33, R21, Hair - E21, E25, E27  Clothes - R24, R27, R39, YG03, G09, Y13, Y17, C5, C9
Other: Recollections 110lb White card stock and 65lb Red card stock,  MFT Stamps - Mini Cloud Edges and Drifts & Hills Stencils,  Sakura - White Gel Pen

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by.

I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

I hope you like my finished card.

Hello my friends and welcome.  Today I have another Christmas card to share with you using the October 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts as well as the Naughty Elves stamp set and matching frame cuts, also from Hero Arts.

This is a card showing that sometimes the elves are just a little bit naughty at the North Pole, when they really should be making more presents.  ha, ha, ha

Merry Christmas

Welcome to a new week and a new card using the October 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.  The stamp set this month was chock full of images to create different types of Christmas cards.

Below is the first card I created using this kit.  I cut a total of three rectangles from some 110lb white card stock.  One I used to create the frame around my scene, one I used as the base to attach my scene dies and one I cut using two of the fancy dies in the kit to create some tress and some mountains.  I then used distress inks to colour the tops of the trees, the bottoms of the mountains and the sky.

I have Santa flying in the sky on the way to deliver presents and Mrs. Claus waving him off.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - October 2017 My Monthly Hero kit
Dies: Hero Arts - October 2017 My Monthly Hero coordinating Fancy Frames,  Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles

Sunflower Thanks

Although it's totally miserable and rainy out here today, I thought I would try to bring you some sunshine in the form of another card that I created using the September 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.

This is the first card that I created using the layering sunflower stamps and dies from the kit.  For the background I used the Vertical Arrows background stamp and Cup O'Joe ink, also from Hero Arts, to stamp onto some kraft card stock.

I stacked three brown "Thanks" and then slightly offset a yellow "Thanks" underneath so that the word would pop better off the background. It doesn't show that much in the photos but in real life it works.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for my card.

Stamps: Hero Arts - September 2017 My Monthly Hero kit and Vertical Arrows Background
Dies: Hero Arts - September 2017 My Monthly Hero kit coordinating Frame Cuts,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 & Many Thanks
Inks: Lemon Yellow, Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie, Lime Green, Field Greens, Soft Brown and Cup O' Joe
Other: Recollections - 100lb White card stock and 65lb Kraft, Brown and Yellow card stocks,  Foam Tape

You Are Gourdgeous

Good morning friends, today I have another card to share with you that I created for challenge #79 Rustic Neutrals at The Card Concept and this time I also used sketch #308 from Freshly Made Sketches as inspiration for my card layout.

I again used the pumpkins from the September 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.  I also added the silver accent by combining the Radiating Rays stencil from MFT Stamps with Metallic Silver Embossing Paste from Dreamweaver Stencils.

The card I created has lots of texture and layers which was created using a combination of embossing  paste, a embossing folder and foam tape.

Below is a lit of the supplies I used.

Autumn Greetings

Welcome to my small piece of the internet.  Today I have a card to share with you that I created for The Card Concept #79 - (Rustic Neutrals)

The inspiration photo is quite gorgeous.  I really love the look of white pumpkins but I wasn't quite sure what inks I had that I could use to create them.  I tired a few different colours but I think the Simon Says Stamp - Barely Biege that I had just recently bought worked the best.

According to the Card Concept's guidelines, the style of my card is Clean and Layered.

I was quite literal in my interpretation of the above photo except I did not add a circular element above the pumpkins but I did add a touch of silver using a sentiment and some silver embossing powder.

I hope you like what I came up with.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - September 2017 My Monthly Hero Color Layering Stamp set
Dies: Hero Arts - September 2017 My Monthly Hero coordinating Frame Cuts,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 & 20 and Party Banners

I have a card to share with you today that I created for the current challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  This week the inspiration is "Iced Coffee".

Although my card has a cup of regular coffee not iced coffee, I think the overall feel of my card goes well with the inspiration photo above.

Give Thanks

Welcome to World Cardmaking Day!  On this special day I have two cards to share with you.

I can't believe it's already the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.  We personally are not doing anything special but I did still make a couple of Thanksgiving cards.

I used the adorable Woodsy Creatures stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps. For the backgrounds of both cards, I smushed a distress ink pad onto a slick surface, sprayed it with water and then dipped the card stock into the ink droplets several times, drying in between ink layers.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Sunny Studio Stamps - Woodsy Creatures
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 and 20

I can't believe it's October already.  The time feels like it's going so fast and before I know it, it will be Halloween.

Today I have three cards to share with you that I created using the Sunny Studio Stamps Happy Owl-o-ween stamp set.

For some of the images I used masks to stamp and create my cute little owls.  All of the images were cut with my Scan N Cut machine.  I coloured up a bunch of these images during Kathy Racoosin's September 2017 The Daily Marker 30Day Coloring Challenge.

I created the backgrounds for my three cards using a mixture of Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks as well as a few sprays and mists from Tattered Angels and Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Hello Pumpkin

Hello my friends, I do hope you are having a good day.

I am here today to share three different cards that I created using the Hello Pumpkin stamp and die set.  This was an exclusive Stamptember collaboration with Simon Says Stamp and Neat and Tangled.

I was inspired by Kelly Latevola and her colouring when I went to colour these bears from the stamp set.

The bear on the right was coloured with the E50 series of Copics and the bear on the left with the E40 series of Copics.

For the two bear cards, I used masks and a stencil to ink up the backgrounds with Distress Inks.  I used the mice and some leaves to create a card showing the mice jumping in the leaves.

Here are picture of all of my cards.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.
