Fairy Wishes

Hello, I'm back again to share another card I created using the My Monthly Hero Kit December 2018 from Hero Arts.

For this card I cut a piece of white card stock with the largest die from the Blueprints 13 die-namics from MFT Stamps.  I inked it up with some Broken China Distress oxide, which I then sprayed with some water and blotted up the excess.  I also sprayed it with some Creme Brûlée Cream Starburst Spray from Lindy Stamp Gang, to add some sparkle.

I coloured the stamped images with Copic markers and glued them down flat to the card panel except for the fairy which I popped up with some foam tape.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Wish, Big or Small

Hello again my friends, I am back to share another card I created using the My Monthly Hero Kit December 2018 from Hero Arts.

I first stamped, comic coloured and cut out some images from the kit.

I then cut a white card stock panel, using a die from the MFT Stamps - Blueprints 20.  I inked that panel using Faded Jeans, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxides.  Once the panel was inked up, I sprayed it with some water and blotted up the excess.  Then I lightly sprayed with some Marshmallow Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed with some Snow Detail embossing powder.

The partial dandelions where glued directly to the card stock panel and the largest flower and angel were popped up with some foam tape.

I love the combination of colours and images.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - My Monthly Hero Kit December 2018

(As of today, December 20, 2018 the kit is still available.)

The card I am sharing was very much inspired by a card created by Nichol Spohr for Hero Arts.

Merry Christmas

Hello my friends, I hope you are all doing well.

Although I have pretty much mailed all my Christmas cards already, I am still creating a few more Christmas cards.

I am sharing a card I created using the main girl image from the Pure Innocence - Sending Blessings stamp set and a sentiment from the Pure Innocence - Holiday Cheer stamp set, both from MFT Stamps.

I paper pieced the girl's top and skirt to create a dress and coloured the rest of her with Copic markers.  I used a couple of more patterns of design paper from the Echo Park - Season's Greetings 6x6 paper pad for the background, so that it would co-ordinate perfectly with her dress.

I created the poinsettia flower by cutting the smallest flower/leave from the Tim Holtz - Tattered Poinsettia three times, once with green card stock  and twice with a deep red card stock.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence - Sending Blessings and Holiday Cheer
Dies: Hero Arts - Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies,  Lifestyle Crafts - Nesting Circles, Sizzix/Tim Holtz - Tattered Poinsettia,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 20

Hello again, I am back with another card I created using the Tweet Holidays stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I used the same Distress Oxide inks as my previous card and this time created a strip of sky across the centre of the panel.

Warm Feelings - MFTWSC414

Hello my friends and long time no see/hear. It seems like forever since I posted anything.

On August 13, we suddenly and very unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our very sweet 10 1/2 year old black Labrador named Bailey.

We were utterly devastated and I just didn't have the heart to do any crafting.

Because we felt like the house was so empty without Bailey and with defiance feelings of guilt, we decided to get another dog.  Because we had such an awesome experience with Bailey, we decided to get another lab, this time a yellow one, just so we wouldn't be comparing him to Bailey all the time.

Here is our new puppy, 15 week old Oakley.  He has brought back the joy and love back into the house!

Now back to the real reason you have dropped by, I am sharing a card I created using the Tweet Holidays stamp set from MFT Stamps for the current sketch challenge at
MFT Card Challenges.

I inked up the top two thirds of a card stock panel, that I cut out using the largest die from the Blueprints 13 dies-namics, with a couple of blue shades of Distress Oxides. I then sprayed the ink with a bit of water and then patted off the excess to create some texture.

The rest of the images were coloured with Comic markers and then glued on top of the sky background.  I then added the sentiment under the sky and then attached the panel to the card base using some foam tape.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Tweet Holidays
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Distress Oxide - Broken China and Faded Jeans,  Versafine - Onyx Black

Other: Sakura - Black and White Gel Pens,  Foam Tape

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

Saddle Up - MFTWSC396

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Apparently I just can't get enough of the Birdie Brown - Saddle Up & Celebrate stamp set from MFT Stamps, that I just had to make another card.  This time I created a card for the sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

I used a stitched rectangle die from the Blueprints 20 die-namics and cut a piece of white card stock to create my scene using distress inks and a couple of dies.

Beyond the cute cowboy image, one of my favourite images is the adorable "cowboy" cactus.

Birthday Cowgirl

Hello my friends, I am back with another card using the Birdie Brown - Saddle Up & Celebrate stamp set from MFT Stamps.

When I coloured up the images, I co-ordinated the cake with the girl's outfit.  I think the cow print cake and ballon are so cute!

I used the Farm Fence die from MFT Stamps to cut a fence, which I slightly altered by cutting off the lower rung of the fence to make it shorter, so that it would work with my scene a bit better.

I used Distress Inks to create the background and glued all the images flat to the card front except the cowgirl, which I popped up with foam tape.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Saddle Up & Celebrate
Dies: MFT Stamps - Farm Fence

Christmas Not So Mini, Mini Album

Hello my friends and welcome back.

I have been on a kick of making mini albums and have watched several YouTube videos to get ideas and instructions on putting an album together and creating different styles of pages.

This is my first time creating a mini album that has a chipboard cover and card stock pages with hinges inside.  I did have to rip out my first set of hinges but managed to salvage most of the album and ended up using the Hidden Hinge Plus system from Kathy Orta King.  Here is a link to her tutorial: Hidden Hinge Plus Tutorial

The finished size of this album is 9" x 7 1/2" with a 2 1/2" spine.  Each inside page measures 8 1/2" x 7".  I used the Craft Smith - Say Freeze 12 x 12 paper pad from Michaels and Recollections 65lb Cranberry card stock to create this album. I hope you like what I came up with.

I also wanted to share the YouTube channel for Lauras Craft Zone, she makes great mini albums and her tutorials are so clear and detailed.

Below are more pictures of the actual pages for the mini album.  There are a total of six pages and each page has a large tag that has a tab to pull them out of the side pocket, which I created using the We R Memory Keepers' Envelope Punch Board.

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by and I hope you give making a mini album a try.

I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy
